Head trauma for a 57-year-old French tourist, on holiday in the national park where, on Tuesday 10 September, he was immediately assisted by doctors at the Cala Reale outpatient health centre. In the fall, the man suffered a head injury and some abrasions on his legs.

Given the severity of the injuries, the medical staff requested, from the operations room of the Coast Guard of Porto Torres, an urgent transfer by sea from the island to the nearby port of Stintino.

The Coast Guard's patrol boat CP 810 reached Cala Reale in a few minutes and transferred the patient to the nearby port of the tourist village where a 118 ambulance took care of transporting him to the emergency room of the Sassari hospital.

Doctors have checked him out. The island of Asinara has a high number of bike accidents due to the dirt roads, some of which are dangerous and unknown to visitors who venture out on the various paths.
