Fraud, private violence and threats . These are the charges that three Romanian citizens will have to answer, denounced by the State Police after an intervention on the beach of Calamosca .

The call to 113 came from a citizen who reported an attempted assault .

Arriving at the scene, the agents found the man in the company of three Romanians - aged between 44 and 24 - who violently accused him of having stolen a cellphone from one of them.

The policemen then began investigations, sensing that things were somewhat different.

From the checks it turned out that the three were already known by the police as well as suspected of a scam attempt that took place in recent days. Not only that: they were searched and the phone they claimed had been stolen appeared . In short, another attempt at deception.

But the investigations of the agents are still ongoing. The three Romanians are in fact suspected of having implemented another type of scam.

In their car, several modules were found, hidden in the internal cavities of the bodywork , with headings written in English and other foreign languages for the collection of money for disabled and deaf people . Documents already filled in with names and addresses of people and an indication of the sums donated, between 20 and 50 euros each .

The suspicion is that the three pretended to be volunteers of associations and raised money in the name of false charity in front of supermarkets and shopping centers , posing as disabled themselves.

The State Police therefore invites all citizens "to pay close attention and ask for help by calling 113 every time these types of fraud are found, or, in any case, there is even the suspicion of having been victims of scam or that one is to perpetrate a scam against yourself or other close people ".
