Non-hotel tourism is booming in Cagliari. This is certified by the data just published in the report by the Extra association, led by Maurizio Battelli, referring to the January-May period of this year, therefore to the low season, compared with the same months of 2023.

The capital recorded a growth in turnover of 21.32%, compared to an increase of 10.55% in Southern Sardinia and 13.27% in the entire island.

South Sardinia

Southern Sardinia, including municipalities such as Domus De Maria, Pula, Cagliari, Quartu, Terra Mala, Torre delle Stelle, Villasimius, Castiadas and Costa Rei, recorded:

Turnover: €25,183,366 (+10.55% compared to the same period in 2023)

Nights booked: 171,154 (+2.45%)

ADR: €147 (+7.90%)

Average monthly number of structures booked: 3,099

Average available nights of booked properties: 96,075

Occupancy rate of booked facilities: 35.63% (+2.58%)

REVPAR: €52

Total Sardinia

For the whole of Sardinia, the data recorded are:

Turnover: €73,975,698 (+13.27% compared to the same period in 2023)

Nights booked: 469,088 (+3.42%)

ADR: €158 (+9.52%)

Average monthly number of booked facilities: 9,058

Average available nights of booked properties: 280,792

Occupancy rate of booked facilities: 33.41% (+4.02%)

REVPAR: €53
