A 24-year-old man who braved the fire this afternoon to save his car escaped with more fright than injury, fortunately, with initial smoke inhalation and some injuries to his arm.

The fire started outside the home on Via del Corbezzolo in Selargius. But the flames quickly spread into the courtyard.
Here, under a blazing shed, the family vehicle was parked. The young man immediately intervened to save it, carrying it out onto the road.

During the operation, he inhaled too much smoke and required the assistance of a 118 crew . In addition to the firefighters, the local police officers of Selargius also intervened on site.
