Event against architectural barriers in Nuoro, the stairlift doesn't work: disabled testimonial carried in his arms

He had to participate in the representation room of the Municipality of Nuoro in the presentation of the event "Together to walk free without architectural barriers" which will be held in Nuoro on June 8th with the old glories of Sardinian football.

But when Stefania Calvisi, symbol of the fight for sustainable mobility even for the disabled, arrived at the municipality to act as a testimonial, she was unable to go up: the stair lift in the public building wasn't working.

Infinite embarrassment with the mayor forced together with two volunteers to physically carry the disabled person over the stairs. A scene that quickly made the rounds among employees and others who were outraged by what had happened, demonstrating how facts often quickly disprove even the most beautiful words and intentions. Passers-by also witnessed the scene and immediately spread the word about what happened.

The administration specifies that "the stair lift was working but the doorman responsible for activation was absent and the person replaced did not know how to activate it".
