The external inspection of the body of Erik Masala , the 26-year-old prisoner from Cagliari found hanged two days ago in a cell of the Bancali prison, will take place tomorrow at the Sassari Institute of Forensic Medicine .
The examination was ordered by prosecutor Angelo Beccu, head of the investigation opened by the Sassari prosecutor's office into the young man's death.
Masala's lawyer, Riccardo Floris , also requested investigations , reporting the presence of bruises and abrasions on the body .
To dispel any doubt, the deputy prosecutor decided to proceed with the seizure of the body and, based on the elements in the possession of the Prosecutor's Office, he deemed it sufficient to order an external inspection of the body and not an autopsy .
The answers will come tomorrow from the medical examiner.
