Until a few years ago, they organized bike rides to collect memories, admire unique landscapes, and post breathtaking sunsets on social media. Then they realized their efforts on the pedals could help those struggling in hospital beds. Fabio Bruni, Alessio Ghini, and Gabriele Bellomi, three friends from Pavia, all 26, are about to set foot on Sardinian soil again.

They're ready to repeat "Pedalando per bene" on the island, the charity initiative they created to contribute to cancer research. Last year, they cycled along the east coast, from Olbia to Cagliari, raising around €2,000. This time, their mission is to cycle along the west coast, from Porto Torres to Cagliari, passing through Alghero, Oristano, and Buggerru. Hopefully, they'll be able to raise a little more money.

"We'll arrive in Sardinia by ship on September 18th, disembarking in Porto Torres," says Alessio, one of the three friends, "while arriving in Cagliari on Monday the 21st. The plan calls for about 400 kilometers in four days, with stops in various cities. We'd like to raise at least €4,000, which we'll then donate to AIL (Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma) in Cagliari. Or rather, the money will be donated directly to the association. Throughout our journey, we'll post photos and videos on social media. It's a way to reach more donors."

Donating is simple: "Just go to the 'Pedalando per bene' page on Instagram and TikTok," explains Alessio. "There you can find all the information and links for bank transfers, which, I want to point out, can be as little as one euro. Every small gesture, added to all the others, will become a great gift for those who suffer. We can't wait to get there."
