It is a sector that in Sardinia has 124 companies and professional organizations, with over 4 thousand workers employed in the world of music, theater and dance. It is the live entertainment sector, which took place this morning in the square in Cagliari, under the arcades of the Regional Council, to ask for attention to politics after the Covid storm.

The mobilization is linked to the budget change of over 290 million euros, which just yesterday arrived in the classroom for the general discussion. The representatives of Cuss, the unitary coordination of live entertainment in Sardinia, ask that an amendment be included in the "omnibus" law that provides for an additional allocation of 2 million for the sector, in addition to the 7 million budget provided for in the budget. and the 2021 technical budget of last February.

"Today at 1 pm the deadline for the presentation of the amendments to the budget variation expires - explains to the 'Dire' agency Marco Benoni, representative of Cuss -. The entertainment sector is one of those most affected by the effects of the pandemic, we ask that in 'omnibus' an amendment is inserted to have more resources. We do not expect special and personal interventions, but concrete help for a sector made up of 4,200 workers, who risk ending the year without a salary ".

A representative of the Coordination will meet the President of the Regional Council, Michele Pais, and the group leaders. The goal is to make the promise that the two million amendment will be included in the budget change.
