A 70-year-old from Selargius reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for driving while intoxicated.
In recent days, the elderly man was traveling along State Road 554 in the Quartucciu area, when, arriving at via Mandas, he lost control of the vehicle, causing an accident involving three other cars.
On the spot, after the alarm, the Carabinieri del Norm of the Compagnia di Quartu Sant'Elena intervened, who took care of the findings.
The breathalyzer was triggered for the man. And the test was successful. Indeed, more than positive: the 70-year-old had in fact a blood alcohol level of 2.19 grams/litre, against a tolerated limit of 0.5.
For this reason, the report to the competent authorities was triggered, in addition to the withdrawal of the license and the seizure of the vehicle.
