One million and 600 thousand euros for the extraordinary maintenance of the water distribution networks that serve the municipality of Santadi .

Egas, the government body of the Sardinian area, with a recent managerial determination approved the project drawn up by the technicians of Abbanoa SpA, manager of the service.

The Sulcis municipality is currently fed by the "Sulcis Nord Sud" scheme; the branch connecting to the inhabited center has a length of about 5 kilometres. Santadi also has two reservoirs which serve the urban center and its numerous hamlets ; one of these is fed, albeit with a flow rate of a few liters per second, from a system of natural springs between Santadi and Teulada . The adduction pipeline from the springs, along the way to the reservoir, feeds the various municipal fractions not served by the city water network.

The project first of all foresees the completion of the adductor; in detail , a breakwater of about 1 and a half kilometers will be built which will connect the Santadi divider and the adductor pipeline; moreover, the pipeline for approaching the urban area in the section between the crossing over the Rio Mannu with one of the two tanks will be replaced , for a total length of over 600 metres, as well as a new connection pipeline between the two tanks will be laid about 300 meters . Also planned is the arrangement of some sections of the supply network that feeds one of the tanks with water from natural springs, for a length of about 500 metres, as well as plant and structural upgrading works for both tanks .
