Ecomafia Commission, Genna Luas leaves for mission in polluted areas of Sulcis

The visit of the parliamentary commission on eco-mafias chaired by the Northern League MP Jacopo Morrone began this morning in Sulcis Iglesiente . This is the commission of inquiry that deals with illegal activities connected to the waste cycle and other environmental and agri-food crimes.
The delegation is composed of the commissioners Gianni Lampis of Fdi, Maria Stefania Marino of the Pd and Pietro Lorefice of the M5S . The first stop took place in the Genna Luas landfill owned by Portovesme Srl which on March 25th received a formal notice from the Province of South Sardinia requiring the adjustment of the first rain water within 30 days.
The visit is continuing in the red mud area of the Portovesme industrial complex, in Enel Area 5 and at Sider Alloys.
In the afternoon the commissioners will be in Buggerru, Arbus and Montevecchio.
