« We live in a sad time in which death occupies the pages of newspapers . Let's think about the wars , the fighting that does not spare children , the violence against women , the wickedness resulting from referees and bullying that affects even the most delicate areas of existence, such as family and emotional ones. The relationship between man and woman seems almost poisoned by the instinct of possession and the evocation of death . We must start talking about life again , about a life capable of defeating the temptation of death."

Thus the bishop of Cagliari and general secretary of the CEI, Monsignor Giuseppe Baturi , in his message for Easter . «What matters to us is the charm of full life, not of nothingness, of that happy life which is the fruit of a truth experienced and accepted - he adds - The great vocation of the Church is to transmit to men, in particular young people, by virtue of faith, reasons of hope capable of increasing trust in life, of transforming the world and building a renewed history. The Risen One brings into the world the beauty of a new life, the patient creativity of the new creature. A novelty, the greatest. The world , today so disfigured by the violence of war, can be rebuilt and transformed by men and women who live the greatest reasons for life and hope."
