Easter Sunday in Sardinia is moving towards a positive balance . This year too, the island has amazed everyone - tourists and non-tourists alike - with its always new proposals, without forgetting the great classics: favorite destinations, sea and nature trails to experience a festive weekend surrounded by nature and timeless beauty.

Exhibitions and museums are crowded in the cities, in Cagliari in particular the exhibition " The story of a life " by Liliana Cano , the artist from Sassari who passed away in 2021 at the age of 96 and who lives today thanks to over 100 exhibited works, including paintings and drawings, from private collections. Dated between the 1940s and the year of her death, they are the legacy of an extraordinary woman who left a lasting impression on the world of Sardinian art.

Beauty and culture also fascinate the most curious at the Mann in Nuoro , with dozens of tickets sold for the exhibition " The imagined affinities ", dedicated to the museum's historical collection. A selection of 100 masterpieces out of over 1000 works in the permanent collection, curated by Chiara Gatti and Rita Moro, and now one of the most significant testimonies of art in Sardinia.

Even Alghero did not disappoint, chosen by the many who animated the seafront and the site of Anghelu Ruju , the second largest underground Domus de Janas necropolis on the island. Success also for Bitti , a destination for the numerous people from Cagliari and Sassari who, having left the city, set off to spend a different weekend in the town, moving between the dinosaur park , loved by the little ones and not only, and the sanctuary of Novelssu .

Holidays at the end of March were also promoted with flying colors in Carloforte , with ferries traveling non-stop to take tourists from one island to another. In Ogliastra the undisputed queen was nature, which gave numerous enthusiasts an extraordinary day of walking and trekking.

Positive results also in Gallura , with the archaeological site Lu Brandali - in Santa Teresa - which just yesterday reopened its doors for a long season which will end on 31 October. Sassari defends itself with the pre-nuragic sanctuary of Monte d'Accoddi , awaiting the full house expected for tomorrow, Easter Monday.

Those looking for a bit of relaxation and an escape from the daily routine couldn't give up the spa tourism which - over the Easter weekend - was sold out or almost sold out, between Sardara , Fordongianus and Benetutti . The icing on the cake were the Holy Week rites which marked, in the cities and towns, the period preceding Easter Sunday. From the tour of the seven churches in Su Scravamentu to S'Incontru, with the risen Christ and the Madonna.
