The Carabinieri's crackdown on the nightlife scene in Cagliari and its province continues.

The latest checks were carried out in the territories of Sestu, Monserrato and Quartu , also with the support of canine units, along the main streets where young people meet and along the connecting arteries.

During roadblocks and inspections , three boys – aged between eighteen and twenty-one, all residents of Monserrato – were reported to the Prefecture and found in possession of drugs, kief and hashish.

On the roads , three drivers were reported for driving under the influence of alcohol: a thirty-nine-year-old from Villasimius stopped along the provincial road 17 with a blood alcohol level of 1.35 g/l; a fifty-one-year-old from Selargius who, in Piazza Maria Vergine Assunta, refused the breathalyzer test; a thirty-seven-year-old from Sinnai checked in the commercial area of Pitz'e Serra with a level of 1.93 g/l.

Again, during a check in via Marconi in Quartu the military reported a twenty-four year old – already known to the police – found with a seventy centimetre long wooden club, a switchblade and three doses of hashish : objects and drugs were seized.

Finally, a thirty-six year old from Selargius was reported for escaping from house arrest.
