The young man arrested by the Carabinieri of the Sestu station for drug possession and dealing will probably be questioned on Monday in the Uta prison. In the afternoon, the station commander, Lieutenant Riccardo Pirali, forwarded the report to the Prosecutor's Office on the matter.

A non-random operation with the military who moved as part of a whole series of services aimed at putting a stop to drug dealing in the area. Lieutenant Pirali himself took part in the raid from the roof of a house to monitor any drug sales from above: a 46-year-old was apparently approached by the suspect who gave him four grams of marijuana. Just at that moment the non-commissioned officer who was acting as a lookout mobilized some patrols to follow the operation in the nearby streets, blocking the buyer who was then reported to the Prefect and searching the 34-year-old's home where over a kilo of hemp buds and marijuana, and 10 grams of cocaine.

Hence the arrest of the young man, now locked up in the Uta prison. Investigations are continuing to trace the origin of the drugs and any accomplices of the suspect. This is yet another anti-drug operation by the Sestu police who in recent years have recovered thousands of Indian hemp plants and large quantities of other light and hard drugs.
