The mayor of Porto Torres Massimo Mulas is not at all convinced by the scheme of the Energy Dpcm for Sardinia prepared by the national government and calls together all Sardinian municipalities. “In a historical moment of great expectations and announced revolutions, a downward solution is being proposed to the island with options that were implemented in the rest of Europe forty years ago. We cannot rejoice at such a humiliating result ". The mayor comments on the news of the recent confrontation between the Minister of Ecological Transition Cingolani and the President of the Solinas Region." Now it becomes a battle for dignity - declares the Turritano mayor - above all because the document is the result of a never-born negotiation and seems to be the child more of the vision of some company than of a shared political reasoning. The Sardinians do not deserve to be treated once again as the last wheel of the wagon, especially for what they have given to Italy ”. Parts of an infrastructured territory, an industrial area equipped for refineries and energy deposits, pieces of land sacrificed to industry that have made the island the strategic base of the Mediterranean. “Let us all resign to show that we are no longer willing to passively suffer from top-down strategies - adds Mulas-. Let's reject the agreements to the downside and let's build together the future of a strong and respected Sardinia in the European Union ".

The mayor launches a provocation and asks to commission all dissenting municipalities to experience what it means to administer a territory with insuperable problems and a growing level of desperation. “The resignation takes effect in 20 days - adds Mulas -. If we all did it in unison, the government would have a very short time to negotiate a real agreement that is respectful of all parties; otherwise, the definitive weakness and irrelevance of our land would be decreed ”.
