Mayors and heads of organizations and trade associations in Northern Sardinia and in the Logudoro, Meilogu and Goceano areas met in Siligo to evaluate and discuss the possibility of creating common actions in this area of the island .

"The idea of this meeting matured after 3 September, when various administrators met in S'Aspru on the initiative of the Municipality of Siligo and the Maria Carta Foundation to discuss the problems related to the phenomenon of depopulation of small towns", the words by Mayor Giovanni Porcheddu .

Bastianino Casu , president of Confcommercio Nord Sardegna , then highlighted the importance of keeping the community alive as «a shop that closes in a small town is a light that goes out in the local productive fabric».

Maria Amelia Lai , in the dual capacity of regional president of Confartigianato and vice president of the Chamber of Commerce of Sassari , focused on the project of the chamber body called "Salude & Trigu" which, with a financial endowment of 500 thousand euros in 2022, gave a significant support to the territory of northern Sardinia .

"It is necessary to combine skills, stories, knowledge to build something that can adequately enhance the identity of the territories", the words of Leonardo Marras , representative of Confcommercio for the territories of Meilogu, Logudoro and Goceano, underlining "the essential importance of the collaboration between the subjects, whether they are municipalities, associations, bodies, people".

All agree, the first citizens, in reiterating the need for collaboration and the sharing of common projects and goals to promote the development of the territory.

Also at the meeting was the Honorable Piero Maieli , president of the Regional Commission for Productive Activities.
