Flight from Alghero to Turin with over three hours delay, a poor service costing the Volotea company dearly, forced to reimburse two passengers. The couple of tourists who arrived on holiday from Piedmont in Sardinia had chosen to return with a flight leaving from Riviera del Corallo airport whose landing was scheduled for 9.10 am, while they only arrived at Turin airport at 12.35 pm, upsetting their plans.

A delay of over three hours for the two inhabitants of the Piedmontese province, which occurred on 16 September 2022, which brought a lot of inconvenience to them and other passengers on the flight.

The Turin justice of the peace intervened in the case and, a few days ago, ordered that Volotea will have to make the payment of 500 euros to the couple. «The Justice of the Peace of Turin – they comment from Italia Rimborso, which defended the two passengers – applied Community Regulation 261/2004, which protects air passengers even in cases of flight delays. In fact, beyond three hours of delay, passengers can request financial compensation. In this case there were no circumstances of strike or adverse weather conditions."
