It was supposed to be an evening of sport, solidarity and friendship. Instead in Decimomannu, a few hours before the Carmelo Canu Memorial, the administrators found a swastika drawn in paint, right in the center of the municipal field. The event, dedicated to wheelchair basketball, is organized by Basket Decimo and Bads in collaboration with Uisp. The discovery occurred yesterday evening and the mayor Monica Cadeddu wanted to report the fact on social media.

«As an administration we were very happy to host this event, there was also great participation from the basketball kids who tried to try their hand at this variant of their favorite sport. Unfortunately, however, when we arrived at the pitch we found a bitter surprise: the stupidity of some idiot , to use a polite word, left a graphic representation in bad taste on the pavement - we read in his post -. Given that I would like to understand if he is truly cultured enough to know the meaning, I would be curious to meet him personally so as to tell him what I think of him. We will immediately clean up this mess."

From the mayor comes the firm condemnation of the gesture, from which "we distance ourselves". Today the inspection to clean the pitch is expected, in the next few hours the disfigurement is expected to be removed.
