«We ask the Minister of Justice, obviously in full respect of the action of the judiciary, whether he does not deem it necessary to immediately shed full light on the facts exposed relating to the death of Stefano Dal Corso, which, if they were to be true, would represent a vulnerability of incredible gravity to the system of management of the execution of sentences by the State, with respect to which it is necessary to identify every single step in the chain of responsibilities".

The PD deputies of the Chamber's Justice Commission (Debora Serracchiani, Federico Gianassi, Michela Di Biase, Marco Lacarra and Alessandro Zan) addressed the minister Carlo Nordio with a question. The act comes after the sensational revelations of an alleged superwitness, who told of a lethal beating suffered by the Roman prisoner in the Massama prison, in Oristano.

«On 12 October 2022», we read in the text of the question, «Stefano Dal Corso, a 42-year-old Roman, was found dead in his cell in the Oristano prison. The prosecutor's first hypothesis was suicide, and the case was closed. The investigations, however, were reopened, also following complaints from Stefano Dal Corso's sister, who was very close to being released from prison. Now", continue the Dem deputies, "new, very serious elements have emerged which could, if ascertained and verified, overturn the reconstruction regarding Del Corso's death on which an autopsy does not appear to have been carried out. An anonymous witness, who claims to be an external officer of the Penitentiary Police, claims to have videos and evidence capable of demonstrating that Stefano Dal Corso was beaten with bars and truncheons and killed."
