Crushed between the forklift and a truck on Buddi Buddi: a young worker from Sassari dies

The 23-year-old young man, originally from Sassari, died in the afternoon, crushed between the forklift he was moving and a heavy vehicle .

Davide Da Costa had been hospitalized in serious condition in the civil hospital of Sassari after the accident at work in the vehicle scrapping company Romeg srl, on the provincial Buddi Buddi. The boy was doing some work within the company when he was hit by a moving truck. Immediately aided, his condition appeared serious. He had sustained chest and abdominal trauma .

It happened around 12 and shortly after two ambulances from 118 rushed to the scene, one of which was medicalized. The medical team provided first aid and then transported the 23-year-old to Santissima Annunziata.

Kept under observation in the intensive care unit, his conditions worsened until he died . Once again the issues of safety in the workplace are being questioned.
