Crowds for Tananai, the mayor: «Music and fun, Assemini is back»
Puddu rejoices after the public success for the live in the square: «In Sardinia we have a unique history in the field, this is the proof»«The coat of arms of the main artist (among the most beloved currently in the national panorama), the images from above of Piazza Sant'Andrea packed to the brim, want to mean this: Assemini, which in the field of entertainment and music has a unique history in Sardinia, is back».
Mayor Mario Puddu is beaming the day after Tananai's performance that drew thousands of people to the square in his town.
"Yesterday was the culmination of a commitment that lasted weeks, if not months," explains the mayor, "despite the moments of difficulty (many), I always thought that the time would come to say 'it was worth it'."
And that moment "arrived yesterday afternoon/evening, when not only Piazza Sant'Andrea but all of Assemini was stormed by several thousand people. Yesterday was a further but decisive signal (after the first experience last year) for the direction and role that our administration wants to have in the field of large events/tourism/culture".
Tananai's performance, according to Puddu, «was of a remarkable level, brilliant and did not betray expectations; indeed, the acoustic version of his most famous songs was goosebump-inducing. Seeing and hearing the audience sing was a show within a show. The performances of the artists who performed before Tananai were also intense and at times touching (Far D, Roly and 'our' Baby Rich, in particular for "Fotografia"), ending with Sandro Murru who is always a guarantee».
