The carabinieri noticed him as he was suspiciously wandering around Iglesias ' Eurospin in his car. So they decided to stop him for a check: it emerged that the man, a forty-nine year old from Tuili, did not have a driving license because it had been revoked. The military informed him that the vehicle would be seized. From here a mad race with a chase began, which ended after 40 kilometers.

The man, to try to escape the military, pressed his foot on the accelerator and, after traveling against the flow, at breakneck speed, the town of Iglesias, entered the 130 towards Cagliari. Behind him, the carabinieri who had stopped him, who in the meantime had called for reinforcements.

With the help of colleagues from the Gonnesa station, they managed to intercept and stop the fleeing vehicle. The forty-nine year old, in the middle of the busy state road, tried to resist. One of the soldiers took out his taser, but it was not necessary to use it: the fugitive, who saw himself trapped, decided to surrender. He had two knives with him.

The evening ended with handcuffs and accusations of resistance and illegal carrying of a weapon.

During the validation hearing, this morning the judge imposed on the man the obligation to stay in the Municipality of residence with a ban on leaving the house at night.
