The situation of Covid in Sardinia remains less serious than in other areas of Italy, but infections are also increasing in the island, where the virus also returns to claim victims and where the number of patients in intensive care rises to 10.

According to the latest update, the positivity rate stood at 1.4% (yesterday, albeit with a realignment of the data, it was 0.6% ).

Here is the full bulletin issued by the regional authorities on Wednesday 17 November 2021: “In Sardinia today there are 130 further confirmed cases (yesterday 109, ed) of positive COVID, on the basis of 2555 people tested. A total of 9247 tests were processed, between molecular and antigenic.

There are 10 patients admitted to intensive care units (1 more than yesterday).

43 patients are admitted to the medical area (1 less than yesterday).

1942 are the cases of home isolation (86 more than yesterday).

There are 2 deaths (none yesterday, ed): an 86-year-old woman and an 89-year-old man, both residing in the province of Oristano ”.
