Covid, Sardinia is first in Italy for vaccinated students
The data relating to the immunization of teachers are also good: in the island the percentage of unvaccinated is equal to 4.9% of the staff in service
Great responsibility by Sardinian students in terms of vaccines against Covid-19: the island is in fact in first place in the ranking drawn up by the Gimbe Foundation and relative to the number of young people in the 12-19 age group who have completed the immunization cycle.
In particular, in the island the young people in this age group who have not yet received even a dose of the vaccine are 19.6% against a national average of 27.3%. Following Sardinia are Lombardy (20.3% of young people still without vaccine) and Molise (20.8%).
The data relating to the immunization of teaching staff are also good: in this case the island is in fourth position behind Veneto, Marche and Emilia Romagna and with a percentage of non-vaccinated people equal to 4.9% of the staff in service.
According to the report, updated as of October 25, 2021, nationally 67.2% of the population 12-19 years (3,064,055) have completed the vaccination cycle and 5.5% (249,401) have taken the first dose. Unvaccinated children are 1,243,466 (27.3%), with percentages of unvaccinated ranging from 19.6% of the Island to 43.8% of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
