Porto Cervo is preparing to reveal the winners of the 6th edition of the Costa Smeralda Award. Preparations are underway at the Conference Center for the awards ceremony, scheduled for tomorrow, starting at 5:00 p.m. During the event, in addition to the presentation of awards to the writer and navigation expert Björn Larsson, who will receive the International Award, to the artist Adrian Paci, Mediterranean Culture Award 2025, and to the Sardinian Giorgio Spanu, who will take home the Special Award, the winners of the Fiction and Non-Fiction sections will be announced.

Competing for the first place are Claudia Lanteri with her first novel “L'isola e il tempo”, Wanda Marasco with “Di spalle a questo mondo” and Fiammetta Palpati with “La casa delle orfane bianche”, and for the second place, Giuseppe Antonelli with “Il mago delle parole”, Riccardo Falcinelli with “Visus. Storie del volto dall'antichità al selfie” and Tommaso Spazzini Villa with “Autoritratti”. The finalists were selected by a jury of experts led by the artistic director of the award Stefano Salis and composed of Lina Bolzoni, Marcello Fois, Elena Loewenthal and Chiara Valerio.

Last year, the award for Fiction went to Evelina Santangelo with “Il sentimento del mare” and the award for Nonfiction to Maurizio Ferraris with “Imparare a vivere”. In addition to a cash prize, the winners will receive an exclusive work by Giuseppe Sanna: for this edition too, the sculptor has created a unique award for each category, a symbol of the connection between the Award and the territory of Sardinia.

The Costa Smeralda Award ceremony, of which Smeralda Holding is a partner and main sponsor, will be hosted by journalist Roberta Floris in the presence of Renzo Persico and Mario Ferraro, president and vice president of the Costa Smeralda Consortium, who presented the edition in Milan earlier this month.
