Costa Rei invaded by motorcyclists (and tourists) like never before in the month of May. The credit goes to the “Motorei” event organized by the new natural shopping center with the collaboration of the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Muravera. In Piazza Colombo we saw over a thousand motorbikes of all types coming from every corner of Sardinia and beyond.

Numerous awards: Pietro Ceccaroni received the prize for the motorcyclist coming from the furthest away (he arrived from Foligno covering 580 kilometres ). Paolo Pinna, 78 years old from Carbonia, was awarded the prize for oldest motorcyclist . Simone Spano , originally from Collinas, was instead awarded for the oldest motorbike (a Cimatti from the 1960s). The largest motorcycle club, that of Sarroch, was also awarded (the SS 195, like the road).

The tourists, in addition to the motorbikes, witnessed the show of the stuntman Giampaolo Sassu. In the square there is also music, stalls and good food. «A beautiful day – said Tony Perseo, manager of Costa Rei's Ccn – which saw participation beyond expectations. It means that Costa Rei is ready to become a very popular destination even in April and May."
