"The president is no longer an entrepreneur, he can no longer hold office," is the accusation. «False, it meets all the requirements. Attack by those under proceedings for expulsion from the association». Who is right has not yet been established. But it is certain that within the Sardinian Cna, the national confederation of crafts and small and medium-sized enterprises, a war is underway between factions made up of internal complaints and disciplinary measures.

President Luigi Tomasi, elected in December 2021, ended up in the crosshairs of at least one associate : according to a letter sent to the leaders of the Confederation before the Christmas holidays , the number one would no longer have top positions in any business activity. And being an entrepreneur, according to the statute, is an essential requirement for being able to hold elective roles within the Cna. If it is missing, it is the thesis of the detractors, the decadence is immediate.

"If this reconstruction is not denied", reads the letter from, "in compliance with the rules of association we will have to take note of the forfeiture, from the date of loss of the requirement". The document also raises doubts about the possible illegitimacy of the acts adopted, with all the consequences on the activities of the trade association.

"The statement that President Tomasi does not meet the requirements is absolutely unfounded." Answering for the association is the Cagliari lawyer Giuseppe Macciotta, who is looking after the interests of the Cna in a matter that seems to be linked to the letter of "complaint": «The dispute», he adds, «seems to be attributable to subjects for whom expulsion proceedings have been initiated, an arbitration judgment is pending. And those directly involved are trying to shift attention to a completely unfounded controversy".
