Cagliari changes”: not just a slogan but 234 million euros invested to implement 80 projects and around 200 construction sites on eight different lines of action, which will guarantee as many as 5,000 jobs. The target? A more modern city that is sustainable, green, welcoming and intelligent, but which maintains its identity. A year of interventions and resources that will have to see the signature of the end of the works by 31 December.

«The Municipality performed the miracle without shortcuts, but by putting forces and resources into the field. In the post-war period there is no investment plan of this magnitude, the extraordinary nature lies in the size compared to the time», commented the deputy mayor in charge of EU policies Giorgio Angius.

«If we are here today and we can talk about a project to change the city, it is because an extraordinary teamwork has been created within the administration», added the mayor Paolo Truzzu, «this year I ask our fellow citizens for a lot of patience, the same one we use when we renovate our house. These works serve to make our city more welcoming: Cagliari is our common home. A city that has many construction sites is a city that improves, that is alive».
