Battista Cualbu was unanimously reconfirmed as regional president of Coldiretti and will lead the association for the next five years. The new management framework was presented this morning by Cualbu himself and by the regional director, Luca Saba who also took stock of the main disputes that have seen and will continue to see the organization involved in the coming months.

«I thank the entire assembly and all the members who have reconfirmed their trust in me for this next mandate, an election that is by no means a given and which fills me with pride», underlines the president. «If we look behind us we see the many battles won and the support we have given to the agricultural companies of Sardinia and the families behind them: they have been difficult years, characterized by Covid and the many difficulties for businesses in the sector . But the answers came thanks to the great work of the entire organization."

With over 20 thousand direct members, including companies and cooperatives and over 40 thousand pensioners, Coldiretti remains one of the most important associations on the island and in the country. A widespread presence in the territory which has, in Sardinia, 270 employees in 38 offices located in 315 towns in Sardinia. The regional assembly also elected the new Council which will be composed of the provincial presidents : Giorgio Demurtas (Cagliari); Leonardo Salis (Nuoro); Antonello Fois (North Sardinia) and Paolo Corrias (Oristano), by the presidents of the Pensioners (Giovanni Girasole), of the Youth (Nicola Stefano Tuveri) and Women (Mariafrancesca Serra) and also by the newly elected: Efisio Perra, Salvatore Pau, Michela Dessì, Giuseppe Onnis, Cesarino Moni, Salvatore Morittu, Raffaele Stochino, Alessandro Mancini, Giancarlo Capraro, Giovanni Murru, Efisio Sarai and Martino Malu.
