Record birthday for Maria Antonia Tatti who today celebrates 104 years in the accommodation community where she has been a guest for a few years. Aunt Maria Antonia, known as "Bella" , precisely because of the beauty that has always distinguished her since she was young, was born on 6 January 1920 to Antonio Francesco Tatti and Francesca Scanu.

The centenarian has never married and now, following the fracture of her femur which occurred in December 2020, she is a guest of the elderly housing community managed by the Cooperativa Giubileo 2000 based in Nughedu Santa Vittoria. Aunt Maria attended school until the third grade in her hometown, then had to interrupt her studies to help around the house. Not even an adult, guest of a cousin on the Peninsula, she attended a cutting and sewing course in Florence, where she stayed for about a year .

After obtaining her diploma as a seamstress she returned to Sardinia in Nughedu and thus began teaching her knowledge of the art of cutting and sewing in her town and in neighboring towns. Until retirement age she worked as a seamstress, but needle and thread accompanied her for many years. On her hundredth birthday, in heels and a fur coat, she showed up at the thanksgiving mass and reception in her honor. Lately the years have taken their toll. Her relatives, managers and guests from the community where she currently lives will celebrate her today.
