The three young people originally from Bosnia-Herzegovina, arrested on Saturday by the carabinieri of the San Vito mobile radio unit on charges of thefts against tourists on the south-eastern coast of Sardinia, from Villasimius to Villaputzu, will be questioned in the next few hours in the Uta prison. passing through Castiadas, Villasimius and Costa Rei. There are countless complaints collected by the Carabinieri of the San Vito Company, who studied the thieves' modus operandi and concentrated their forces to identify the culprits.

After viewing hours of footage from surveillance cameras, listening to testimonies and analyzing reports from alarmed citizens, the arrest of a gang made up of two brothers and their cousin was made. Confirmation of the suspicions against them would have come from the Carabinieri of the Muravera station who recovered the images of some cameras which allowed the police to identify a Peugeot 208, believed to be the last vehicle used by the thieves.

From that moment a real manhunt began in which all the available soldiers of the San Vito Company and the dependent stations took part. The same patrols, in uniform and plain clothes, were coordinated by the Company Commander, Major Massimo Meloni. The military's efforts paid off when the car was seen heading towards Cagliari on the SS 125 var.

The vehicle was stopped shortly afterwards by the San Vito Radiomobile police. Three individuals on board: a 23-year-old young man, born in Turin, resident in Quartu Sant'Elena, a 40-year-old man, born in Bosnia-Herzegovina, resident in Cagliari, and another 25-year-old young man, also born in Turin and resident in Quartu Sant'Elena. From checking the documents it was discovered that the car was rented, probably to be able to replace it often with a different model. The immediate search made it possible to find, in addition to break-in tools, cameras, tablets, several pairs of branded shoes, perfume bottles, various valuable clothing and cash in euros, Czech crowns and Swiss francs, clear evidence of the criminal activities of the three men. Hence their arrest.
