Thirteen cities, fourteen stadiums: the Italian Football Federation today submitted to UEFA, within the required deadline, the dossiers of the venues deemed suitable to continue the bid process to host matches at Euro 2032. Cagliari is also on the list.

FIGC President Giovanni Malagò has sent Alexander Ceferin, head of the European football federation, a formal communication detailing the federal offices' assessment of the complete investigation into 13 cities (Bari, Bologna, Florence, Genoa, Lecce, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Rome, Salerno, Turin, Verona, and Cagliari) and 14 stadiums. Rome is competing with the Olimpico and the project for the new Pietralata stadium, while Naples is competing with the Maradona stadium.

UEFA will conduct the compliance checks, which cover 11 thematic areas, including infrastructure compatibility, and 120 operational requirements (such as fan services, accessibility, sustainability, media and broadcast services, security, and hospitality). Only afterward will the Federation proceed to select the five host venues.
