A new general practitioner has arrived in Castelsardo , starting next Monday. Meanwhile, to ensure continuity of healthcare, the Sassari Local Health Authority is opening a special community outpatient clinic .

Following the retirement of Dr. Rosa Maria Pellegrino, Dr. Jascha Bruni will take up temporary assignment, starting September 22nd, at the Guardia Turistica premises on Via Porto Turistico. The assistance service will be open to users on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 pm; and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Since this is a temporary assignment, Dr. Pellegrino's patients will be automatically assigned to the new doctor. At the same time, to meet the needs of the population, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 17th, the Ascot will be activated to provide medical care to those without a doctor . It will also be located at Via Porto Turistico 78, on Mondays from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The Ascot clinic will remain open after Dr. Bruni takes up his duties and, starting September 23, will welcome the patients of Dr. Daniele Capula, who will retire on the same date. The Sassari Local Health Authority is working to find a second physician to replace him.
