Cars on fire, moments of fear in Selargius

Moments of fear on the 554 at the Selargius crossroads where a car caught fire with flames that threatened to spread to other vehicles.

It was the driver himself who noticed what was happening by blocking the car, saving himself and sounding the alarm together with other motorists in transit. The fire brigade immediately intervened: taming the fire was not easy, with a long queue of cars that formed on the 554. Among other things, some explosion was also feared. Then, finally, the fire was limited.

When the fire was extinguished, an inspection was carried out: it seems that the fire was caused by a short circuit due to a defect in the electrical system. It was the firefighters who then removed the vehicle, securing the site.

Traffic began to flow regularly again.
