An evening entirely dedicated to the Sassari Carnival with a large masquerade party to celebrate Shrove Tuesday in the historic center of Sassari . Returns tomorrow with the third edition " Carrasciari al corso" included in the billboard “Sassari Carnival” organized and coordinated by the Municipality of Sassari. The event is organized by the Tusitala storytelling association and the Il Corso association with the artistic direction of Monica De Murtas.

The preview at 4pm in the Dessì bookshop in Largo Cavallotti with “Carnival Stories” is dedicated to the little ones with a reading animation workshop, micromagic and child face painting. Along the Corso, in Via Luzzatti and Largo Cavallotti, shows will be set up from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and the shop windows will act as a stage for the performers in costume. To personalize your masks, there will be a children's make-up and adult make-up area at Caffè Le Monde in via Luzzatti.

The novelty of this edition is "Masquerade", the Grand Masked Ball in Piazza d'Italia from 6pm to 11pm. The event in the square was born with the idea of bringing back the ancient tradition of the Sassari Carnival, which was very popular in the city from the nineteenth century until the last century. At 7.30pm the "Carrasciari al Corso" procession will converge in Piazza d'Italia, opening the musical evening which, after the performance of the "lady with violin" Anna Vilardi, will culminate in the DJ set by Daniele Mura and Gigi Carbini. Lighting design Tony Grandi.
