The Lanusei Prosecutor's Office is investigating against unknown persons for the death of Marco Mameli, 22, killed by a stab wound on Saturday night in Bari Sardo . The prosecutor Giovanna Morra, in charge of the investigation, has assigned the autopsy, which will be performed tomorrow morning at the Lanusei hospital by forensic doctors Michela Laurenza and Danilo Fois.
A turning point in the investigation came on Sunday evening, when a young man from Girasole, Giampaolo Migali, 25, showed up at the police station in Tortolì accompanied by his lawyer Marcello Caddori . He made spontaneous statements in front of the officers led by the manager Fabrizio Figliola, taking responsibility for the wounding of Andrea Contu, 26, a worker from Ilbono, who was involved in the tragic fight that ended with a corpse on the pavement . The young man is being investigated for assault and illegal possession of a weapon. He said he did not know Marco Mameli and had nothing to do with his tragic death.
Marco Mameli had reached Bari Sardo in the company of three friends. The trip was not planned, in fact they thought they would reach Tempio. Andrea Contu was not among them, he arrived on board another car. The worker, employed in a company in Arzana, met his fellow villagers and joined them.
