Carbonia, the waste abandoned near the Roma camp is on fire

Two interventions in a few hours for the Carbonia firefighters .

In fact, lighting fires in abandoned landfills near Roma camps on the outskirts of the city is becoming a dangerous mania also in this summer 2022.

The squads of the detachment in via Roma went into action both between via Ospedale and via del Minatore , but also on the edge of the former settlement of Sirai where there are still large heaps of waste "escaped" from the previous fires.

The arsonists continue to set flames and between tonight and this morning the firefighters had to arrive on the scene twice. Black and dense smoke also because part of the household goods that have been abandoned for some time are made up of plastic and ferrous materials . There are also piles of wood and furniture covered with easily flammable deteriorated materials. After the flames were extinguished, the reclamation operations were carried out.
