They rolled up their sleeves all together, Moroccan men and boys together with Sardinian volunteers, united by a double mission: to demonstrate that integration in Carbonia is always possible, and that care for the environment and the territory knows no nationality distinctions.

The architects of the initiative were about thirty people involved in a maxi intervention of cleaning and reclamation of one of the most degraded areas of the city, the internal gardens of the popular buildings between via Dalmazia and via Ospedale. A land that belongs to Area but which, since the residential complex was built, has been cleaned up at most 3-4 times in forty years.

A sort of Italy - Morocco symbiosis has now thought of it, thanks to the synergy between the sympathizers of the Carbonia Avanti group (which also expresses municipal councilors) and two important Moroccan associations recognized by the consulate and embassy of Morocco, namely the "Mohamed VI "and the partnership" Friendship Sardinia-Morocco ".

Thanks also to the support of the residents, the degraded areas have been regenerated with effort and sweat : "Tired but happy - remarks Paolo Manca , Carbonia Avanti - we have rendered a long-awaited service by the residents of the district: we will not stop". The presidents of the two Moroccan associations, namely Hassan El Sabir and Mohamed Mouarrir , both resident in Carbonia where there are about 70 Moroccan citizens, in many cases children and adolescents, underline "the importance of integrating the joint civic sense", in many cases children and adolescents demonstrating a integration that has been a fact of life in the city for about 30 years.
