Car off the road on provincial 5, a pensioner from Tempio dies

An 84-year-old retired woman from Tempio, Margherita Giagheddu, is the victim of a road accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon on Sp 5, the road that connects Tempio with Aglientu.

The woman died in the civil hospital of Sassari where she had been hospitalized immediately after the accident.

The Carabinieri of the Tempio Radiomobile Unit and the Fire Brigade of the Gallura town intervened on site. According to the findings of the Carabinieri staff , the pensioner was aboard a Fiat Punto driven by her husband.

The man, for reasons to be ascertained, lost control of the small car. The Punto ended up off the road after spinning. Margherita Giagheddu had been transferred to hospital with various traumas and wounds which were fatal.
