Moments of fear on the provincial road 9, near Ussana.

A woman was traveling aboard a car from Sestu, when suddenly smoke started coming out of the dashboard of the car. Flames then erupted from the engine compartment and the driver had time to pull over before the vehicle was engulfed in fire.

After the alarm was raised, two teams of the Fire Brigade from the Cagliari Command intervened and made the area and the roadway safe, also reclaiming the vegetation adjacent to the roadway.
The fire was due to a problem with the vehicle's electrical system.
Apart from the fright, the woman driving was not injured.
