A greenhouse farmer: «I was hit by gunshots, now that's enough»Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
The marks of those pellets fired from the rifle of some reckless hunter are still there, in his greenhouse a stone's throw from the Santa Lucia river , but no action has yet been taken to prevent hunting in that area: Attilio Garau , a greenhouse grower from Capoterra , is asking the Municipality to intervene. In recent weeks Garau has been overrun by shots fired from the gun of a hunter who, in defiance of the ban in force in the area, had gone to the river area for a hunting trip.
"I ask the mayor to put up signs prohibiting hunting , so as to dispel any doubts about the fact that here, in the Santa Vittoria area, all hunting is prohibited . In addition to my business, there are homes and a dog shelter : it is unacceptable that every Sunday the banks of the river are stormed by men armed with rifles. Last time a gunshot hit my greenhouse , next time I might not be so lucky: it is a duty to put up signs in the area as soon as possible and prevent hunters from shooting undisturbed again".
