«A beach is evaluated not only for the beauty of the sea and the quality of the services, but also for the cleanliness of the beaches: something must be done to prevent uncivilized people, especially at night, from defacing the Maddalena beach». During the last city council, the leader of the Democratic Party, Efisio De Muru, presented a question to ask for greater controls on the most important beach in Capoterra.

«We cannot allow rude people who leave bottles and cans on the beach to get away with it – says De Muru -, greater surveillance is needed to allow bathers to always find a clean beach».

The mayor, Beniamino Garau, explains the plan studied by the Municipality to solve the problem of waste on the beach: «The local police will intensify checks in the morning, while the barracella company will monitor the beach at night. At the same time, the area will be protected by the cameras present on the barriers of the paid car parks, which guarantee a 360 degree view, and by those installed in the info point".
