Capoterra, firecracker explodes in his hand and he loses two fingers

He used firecrackers to welcome the New Year , but one exploded in his hand, causing him to lose two fingers .

It happened in Capoterra last night before midnight.

The injured man , a forty-year-old originally from Ghana, was immediately helped by 118 personnel and rushed to Brotzu hospital.

It was difficult to save two of his fingers given the severity of the injuries sustained.

The rest of the hand also had significant injuries and the doctors tried to minimize the consequences.

The police are investigating what happened.
