The Cagliari Coast Guard intervened today around 1:30 p.m. to rescue a man lost at sea. The request to the Operations Room came from a group of canoeists who, despite the prohibitive weather conditions, left from Margine Rosso towards Torre delle Stelle. During the crossing they then lost contact with the last canoeist.

The CP320 patrol boat intervened, at the same time a helicopter from the 4th Flight Section of Decimomannu was alerted. Around 3 pm the man was spotted in the middle of the waves, clinging to the canoe, about half a nautical mile from the coast in the Genn'e Mari area.
It was recovered and taken to the port of the capital.

The 118 ambulance was also alerted for medical assistance.
