The call for proposals for new routes, which had originally closed at midnight between July 22nd and 23rd, has been extended by 30 days, until August 22nd.

This is a call for expressions of interest, through which interested airlines can submit applications to operate one of the 67 routes identified between the three Sardinian airports of Alghero, Cagliari, and Olbia.

Carriers that win the public tender procedure will benefit from a contribution covering up to 50% of airport costs at the departure and arrival airports.

The extension comes after requests were submitted by several airlines that may be interested in participating in the tender for new routes: Easyjet, Volotea, WizzAir, and Aeroitalia, as stated in the documentation relating to the procedure.

The tender includes 67 routes, divided between the three Sardinian airports.

Cagliari Airport: Ajaccio, Berlin, Birmingham, Bordeaux, Brest, Bucharest, Cluj, Cork, Dubai, Dubrovnik, Edinburgh, Eindhoven, Philadelphia, Hannover, Helsinki, Istanbul, Kaunas, Vilnius, Lamezia Terme, Lille, Leipzig, Lisbon, Liverpool, Łódź, Malaga, New York, Nice, Oslo, Riga, Rotterdam, Tallinn, Tirana, Zagreb.
