In Calangianus, the Nuraghe Agnu and the Nuragic spring of Li Paladini will be restored and made safe.
The executive project, drawn up by architect Eleonora Menconi with the scientific collaboration of archaeologist Letizia Fraschini, is valued at approximately €200,000 and was recently approved by the municipal administration.
Both sites are part of the Monti di Deu archaeological site complex, near the Pascaredda Giants' Tomb. "This extremely important project," says Mayor Fabio Albieri, "the work, which will be put out to tender in the coming weeks, represents a first step toward the full enjoyment and enhancement of the entire Monti di Deu archaeological site, one of the most important in Gallura, yet to be fully discovered and studied."
Not only that, the mayor continues, "the acquisition of the private areas where the archaeological assets are located for public use is also planned, a fundamental step towards starting the safety works."
Mayor Albieri also stated that he is already engaged in seeking additional resources, "necessary to develop further projects, in addition to a major excavation campaign, which is essential for the care and enhancement of this immense historical and archaeological heritage of our territory."
