A 37-year-old German tourist was struck by a boat's propeller, sustaining a serious injury to his foot. He was rescued by emergency personnel and then handed over to the Areus helicopter crew, who transported him to Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari.

The accident occurred around 5:00 PM today, while the man was along the Baunei coast with a group of friends. That morning, he had rented a dinghy at the port of Santa Maria Navarrese for his usual excursion to the coves. Then, in mid-afternoon, the accident occurred. According to initial reconstructions, the tourist slipped while climbing back aboard after a dive and struck his foot against the rotating propeller.
