For the second time in four years, the prosecutors say that the investigation into the disappearance of Rosa Bechere must be closed with an archiving and the pensioner's family says no again.

According to the lawyers for Rosa Bechere's husband and sister, the woman was killed and disappeared because she had decided to report the abuses and looting she had suffered. Lawyers Abele and Cristina Cherchi have filed a second objection to the dismissal of the case. The victim's husband, Davide Iannelli, and her sister, Gavina Bechere, are requesting a prosecution for voluntary manslaughter. The case is the one opened in 2022, after Rosa Bechere disappeared, last seen on Via Petta in Olbia. The civil plaintiffs' lawyers, Abele and Cristina Cherchi, have asked the investigating judge to challenge the findings of the Attorney General's Office and the Tempio Prosecutor's Office.

Rosa Bechere, Abele and Cristina Cherchi maintain, was sedated with massive doses of psychotropic drugs and then robbed for months. When the pensioner realized her money and possessions had been stolen, she reported Maria Giovanna Meloni and Giorgio Beccu. For this reason, the two lawyers insist, she was killed and disappeared. The pensioner's family's lawyers have ruled out suicide or voluntary disappearance.

The Attorney General's Office, after taking over the case following the initial request for dismissal, ruled out any grounds for proceeding against Maria Giovanna Meloni and Giorgio Beccu. The matter now returns to the Tempio Pausania preliminary investigations judge.
