Following the harsh statement made a few days ago by Calangianus Mayor Fabio Albieri regarding the delicate situation of medical care in the town , a "clarification" appears to have arrived from the Gallura Local Health Authority regarding the Ascot service . The mayor wrote that he had received "quick notice that a new Ascot service schedule will be defined and shared for the coming days." Meanwhile, Mayor Albieri informed, " Sunday's Ascot service session at the Polyclinic on Via Madrid is confirmed. The goal is to be able to hold two additional sessions between Thursday and Saturday, but everything will depend on the resolution of the technical issue." According to Albieri, the issue concerns the implementation of the computerized system for electronic prescriptions, which was apparently blocked by a technical glitch.

On October 7, Mayor Albieri issued an urgent communication to former patients of Dr. Loddo and Dr. Tusacciu, informing them that, despite repeated and pressing requests to the Gallura Local Health Authority (ASL), the Ascot service schedule for this week had not yet been communicated. After the already serious impossibility of obtaining new general practitioners, we now find ourselves without the Ascot service, which should guarantee at least primary care to the many citizens left unserved. The most shameful thing, the mayor continued, is the absolute silence from the management : no response, no communication, no explanation. An unacceptable attitude towards a community that only asks for respect for a fundamental right: health.

The following day, however, the situation cleared up with the "quick-track" communications from the Gallura Local Health Authority, mentioned above.
